Fire Emoji: Top Songs On Scoop Trends This Week (July 1 – 7, 2019)

Nicki Minaj Continues To Dominate Out Fire Emoji List, DJ Mustard, Kanye West, And Kygo Join In The Race For Number 1 Spot.

This week welcomed some new comers into our Fire Emoji playlist and we said goodbye to others. Drake topped the list for two weeks before being dethroned by Nicki Minaj who tops the weekly chart for the second Friday counting.

This week welcomed a few high profile album releases, and some singles that set out soundsystems on fire… absolute bangers.

The first song I want to highlight has to be Whitney Houston’s post-humous feature with Kygo, because it was really delightful to listen to. Post-humus releases are a common thing, but for some reason an artist like Whitney Houston who had worldwide popularity, had no single release since her death. That is, until this song “Higher Love” mixed and mastered by Kygo. Although the song was released last Friday, it wasn’t until this week that it really picked up momentum, pushing it up to number 9 on our Fire Emoji playlist.

Coming in at number 2, is DJ Mustard’s Perfect Ten album, which also featured a post-humus record with Nipsey Hussle who passed away earlier this year.

The #1 spot belongs to the Queen of hip hop, Nicki Minaj, as her latest hit Megatron continues to blaze on the charts.
