South African rapper AKA tests positive for coronavirus

South African rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, professionally known as AKA has tested positive for Covid-19.

The rapper made this known through his social media handle informing his 2.7 million fans about the situation while urging and advising them to stay safe.

An official press statement was released via the Instagram handle of the rapper on Friday, July 10, 2020.

“Multi award-winning South African musician, AKA has tested positive for the novel covid-19 virus.

The rapper then took to his Twitter page where he gave his fans and followers hints on the symptoms of the virus.

“As soon as you feel that cough coming on, that headache … weakness in your muscles. Chills at night. Trust me. GO TEST ASAP,” he tweeted.

“There’s places where they do the swab at the back of your throat, not that insane up your nose one. Do it so you can know what you dealing with.”

The rapper also informed his fans on the social media platform that he is feeling ”strong and quite upbeat.”

While a lot of fans were disagreeing with him on the report, suggesting that he was paid to make the statement.
