South African Gospel singer and pastor Neyi Zimu dies at 49

Popular Johannesburg – Gospel musician and pastor Neyi Zimu has died. The sad news comes shortly after his family disclosed that the singer was fighting a battle of survival against cancer and also undergoing chemotherapy.

Neyi, was a resident pastor at the All Nation Revival Ministries. The news of his passing came shortly after his wife Nelisiwe Sibisi-Zimu disclosed to the public that her husband was battling mycosis. The pastor was under admission at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital where he was undergoing chemotherapy at the time of his death.

When news of Zimu’s death broke, his fans took to social media to express their sadness and disbelief.

Others, spoke of how his music touched them and pulled them from dark periods of their lives.
