Serena Williams avoids French Open exit after bad start

Serena Williams was made to fight back from a set down against Vitalia Diatchenko to book her spot in the second round of the French Open.

In a rather fortunate twist, Serena Williams came from behind to win her French Open match against V. Diatchenko after losing the first round 6-2.

Serena had to fight her way back after stumbling in the first round. The Russian who was impressive in the first round however failed to capitalize on her advantage as Serena Williams swept passed her 6-1, 6-0 in the second and third rounds.
