R. Kelly has been arrested by federal officials on Federal sex crime charges.

R&B singer R. Kelly has been arrested by federal officials in Chicago on a 13-count sex crime indictment. He’s now in federal custody. This is the first time Kelly has faced federal charges..

The RnB singer was taken into custody in Chicago by federal agents and accused in a 13-count indictment, officials said.

The R. Kelly was indicted in Chicago on the charges bordering on sexual assaults and abuse.

He was arrested on Thursday night by federal agents on charges bordering on child pornography and other federal crimes, the officials stated.
Joseph D. Fitzpatrick the assistant United States attorney for northern district of Illinois said that R.Kelly was arrested and detained due to 14 counts charges that includes enticement of a minor, child pornography and obstruction of justice.

According to two law enforcement officials R.Kelly, federal prosecutors in Brooklyn will open a separate indictment on Friday which will an additional charges against the RnB singer.

They explained that he will be arraigned on Friday in federal court in Chicago and ultimately be brought to New York where he shall face charges against him.

Four women have come out to accuse Robert of sexual abuse which 3of them were underage at the time the crime was committed.

R.Kelly has pleaded not guilty of the 10 charges filled against him in February and more state charges in may.

His lawyer declined to comment Thursday night on the latest federal charges.

Mr. R Kelly was married to the singer Aaliyah in 1994 when she was 15.

In 2008, he was charged in court for child pornography charges which included a 27-minute tape in which prosecutors confessed that he had sex with and urinated on a teenage girl.

He was acquitted on all counts after the girl refused to testify against him.

“Surviving R. Kelly,” the six-part documentary prompted investigations by Atlanta, Chicago and federal law enforcement officials.

Meanwhile, Robert Kelly has been portraying himself as the victim targeted by a smear campaign.

However, he has denied all the allegations
That he even looked directly into the camera, tears in his eyes, and said, “I didn’t do this stuff! This is not me!”
