Neyi Zimu Biography. Neyi Zimu (born, Moses Gcinumuzi in Sebokeng in the year 1970, and died in Johannesburg on December 4 2019) is a South African pastor and gospel singer who is best known for his songs; Jehova Retshepile and Modimo Ke O.

Neyi Zimu passed away on Wednesday, 4 December 2019 at the age of 49 after losing his battle with Skin cancer.


Neyi Zimu’s musical career began as early as 1996 when he founded Family Factory and Joyous Celebration. This collective saw him collaborate with various artists. In 2001, he released his much-anticipated album “Excited” which featured Concorde Nkabinde and Jazz duo “Tsunami.”


In his career, Neyi Zimu released countless gospel hits, some of which enjoyed incredible chart success.
