Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, known more popularly by her stage name “Makhadzi” is a 23 year old South African singer-songwriter and dancer. She made the rise to stardom when she released her hit songs Makodobo, Tshikwama and Madabadaba.
Who is Makhadzi?
Makhadzi was born in Ha-Mashamba, Tshivhangani near Elim in Limpopo. She is well known by singing in her native tongue Tshivenda. She has featured in Sho Madjozi’s song called “Rorali”, King Monada’s “Vuwani” and Master KG’s “Ngaka”. In 2019 alone, Makhadzi has been behind several hit songs including Haka Matorikisi (ft DJ Call Me), Riya Venda (ft DJ Tira), and the now trending Tshinada with Master KG.
Early Life of Makhadzi
On 30 June 1996, Makhadzi was born Ha-Mashamba, Vhembe District in Limpopo. She was named Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona by her parents. Her Nationality is South African. After her parents were separated, Makhadzi and her siblings lived with their mother. Being the first born of three children, Makhadzi worked hard to set a good example for her younger ones. She completed her grade 12 at Mukula Integrated school. Ndivhudzannyi obtained her qualification in Public Relations and she is currently studying Drama.
In 2018 Ndivhudzannyi was invited to YO TV, for her first Television appearance. She has since conducted interviews with radio stations such as Thobela FM, Phalaphala FM, Nzhelele FM, Makhado FM , Sloot FM, and Capricorn FM , where she spoke about her music, life and her hardships.
Makhadzi Career and Music
Makhadzi joined the Makirikiri Musical Group in 2010 to be a dancer. She started to have a desire in singing, whereby one day she decided to play around in studio by recording herself singing, the recording manager got hold of her recording and offered her the opportunity to record in his studio. Her first album was in 2012, she has released 6 albums to date. As a teenager, Ndivhudzannyi traveled to France, Mozambique and Zimbabwe to perform. On the 9th of March, she dropped a new track Zwigevhenga. She released the best song called “Tshikwama” in 2019 which is going to take her far since it is popular in South Africa and throughout the Southern part of Africa.
Makhadzi has released six album which includes Yo Shoma, Shomela Venda and Shomela Venda Vol. 6 and the more recent Matorokisi Album.
