Less than 24 hours after Beyonce released Spirit, a song which would appear on the The Gift; a compilation she curated for Disney’s The Lion King, the multi-award winning singer was spotted in the Grand Canyon with her film crew. According to TMZ reports, the superstar singer was tucked deep inside the stunning Havasu Falls with a minimal production crew.
Although the footage was taken from a distance, it shows Beyonce standing in front of a picturesque scene as the sun shone on a blue-green lagoon.
The location for this shoot is in one of the most highly coveted areas of the Canyon, controlled by the Havasupai tribe and they only allow a maximum of 30 passes a day. People are required to book in advance. TMZ also reports that although thousands of visitors are turned down each day, Beyoncé was able to gain favor for her one day shoot—by following the chain of command and obtaining the necessary paperwork, of course.
